Loren"I haaaate soggy bath mats, and this has improved my life SO much.
I am not sure if this is the best on the market, but it’s been great for us thus far. Plus it looks good!
I was surprised when I took it out of the box, because it was very lightweight and less like a stone slab.
I am going to recommend diatomaceous bath mats to everyone I know lol"
DonExtremely absorbent, once I get out the shower I dry myself while standing on the stone and within seconds to minutes it’s dry. And it takes months for it to get dirty looking.. and all you have to do is rub it down with a piece of sandpaper by hand (1 is provided) and it only takes a couple minutes at most
GuerraThis stone bath mat is a fantastic alternative to a bath mat. Instead of water soaking into a rug, it evaporates off the stone which is much more hygenic. The stone does not feel slippery at all to step on with wet feet, and is very absorbative. Water does not run off of the stone, but soaks into it instead. Overall, a much more hygenic alternative to bath mats.
LyndaWe received this mat to put in our spare bathroom. It’s large enough to step out onto and get dry. The material is solid stone. So no flex to it at all. It arrives in one solid piece. The color is nice and there isn’t a logo plastered all over it. This mat fits the space we have for it and I think we like it so far!
KaylaEveryone should own one of these mats. This mat is very absorbent and easy to clean. It keeps my floor dry, and it also feels nice under my feet.
Frequently Asked Questions:
What is Diatomaceous Earth?
Diatomaceous earth is a naturally occurring, soft sedimentary rock that is made up of the fossilized remains of microscopic aquatic plants known as diatoms. These diatoms have a hard outer shell made of silica, which gives diatomaceous earth its abrasive and absorbent properties.
When ground into a fine powder, diatomaceous earth is often used in various applications, including as a natural insecticide, filtration aid, and additive for animal feed.
It can also be compressed into boards and used in construction materials for its moisture-wicking and mold-preventing properties.
How do I clean my stone Mondano products?
Cleaning Light Stains:Wash the stone with warm water and a sponge in circular motions, then allow time to dry.
Cleaning Heavy Stains:Gently buff the surface of the bath stone with sandpaper until the stain is removed. If needed, use a light cleaner to help wipe away dust, then rinse & leave to dry.
How is Diatomaceous Earth anti-microbial?
The antimicrobial nature of Diatomaceous Earth is a result of its physical properties rather than any chemical or toxic agents. In its natural form, the material attracts and traps bacteria and parasites, causing them to dehydrate and perish. However, when the material is compressed into boards, it still maintains its ability to dry out quickly and help prevent mold growth. Nevertheless, it no longer retains the same antimicrobial properties as the raw material.
What is the mesh mat that came with my bath stone?
It is recommended that you place anti-slip pad underneath your Dorai Bath Stone for a non-slip base and to ensure even weight distribution when stepping on the mat. It is highly advised to use this base to prevent any damage caused by uneven flooring.
It is also important to ensure that the bath stone is elevated properly to promote adequate air flow.
