How to Use

It's easy. Prior to the first use, rinse the bath stone under water to remove any dust, then leave to dry before use. Be sure to place the anti-slip mesh under the stone mat on flat ground, with nothing else underneath. Our unique anti-slip design helps you when entering or exiting the bathtub, needing no tools or tape. Extremely absorbent, once I get out the shower I dry myself while standing on the stone and within seconds to minutes it’s dry. And it takes months for it to get dirty looking.. and all you have to do is rub it down with a piece of sandpaper by hand (1 is provided) and it only takes a couple minutes at most

This stone bath mat is a fantastic alternative to a bath mat. Instead of water soaking into a rug, it evaporates off the stone which is much more hygenic. The stone does not feel slippery at all to step on with wet feet, and is very absorbative. Water does not run off of the stone, but soaks into it instead. Overall, a much more hygenic alternative to bath mats.

We received this mat to put in our spare bathroom. It’s large enough to step out onto and get dry. The material is solid stone. So no flex to it at all. It arrives in one solid piece. The color is nice and there isn’t a logo plastered all over it. This mat fits the space we have for it and I think we like it so far!

Nevertheless, it no longer retains the same antimicrobial properties as the raw material.

What is the mesh mat that came with my bath stone?

It is recommended that you place anti-slip pad underneath your Dorai Bath Stone for a non-slip base and to ensure even weight distribution when stepping on the mat. It is highly advised to use this base to prevent any damage caused by uneven flooring.

If your bath stone breaks due to common, everyday use, please send an email to help@mondanohome.com with your name, order number, and pictures of the broken item. We will generate a replacement order at no charge, but you will be responsible for the shipping cost of $15. Please note that you do not need to send in your broken bath stone, and we encourage you to continue using it throughout your home, such as under plants, pet bowls, and sinks.

Good but doesn't absorb as much as a towel.

I like this stone bath mat. It absorbs most liquid, unless you are just out of the shower and still dripping wet... then the water kind of pools on top of the stone and slowly absorbs in. However if you step on the stone even minimally more dry, the stone soaks up the moisture almost immediately.

Diatomaceous earth, according to Wikipedia, is the fossilized remains of diatoms and has many used among which is moisture absorption. I was not aware that it could be turned into something more solid having only seen and used it in a powdery form in chicken coops for insect control and moisture absorption.So, a solid bathroom mat as an alternative to a fabric bath mat. Is it good? Is it worth it?It is very good at absorbing water. Getting out of the shower or bath you are not standing on what is essentially a wet towel while drying off, and your bathroom does not have a wet mat lying about or hanging up, or wherever drying. And the mat does not feel wet pretty much immediately after stepping off it.It is, you should know, probably smaller than any bath mat you have, so it takes a bit of getting used to to confine yourself to a fairly small space. It would be nice to have several of these to cover more of the bath floor ‚Äì but since these are not inexpensive that‚Äôs not going to happen. But this is a minor gripe.Is it worth it? Honestly, you could buy three or more fabric bath mats for the price of the Mondano Diatomaceous Earth Bath Mat. But we love it! Besides the coolness factor you just leave it on the bath floor and I have always hated having to hang up the fabric bath mat somewhere to dry.I think it‚Äôs great and highly recommend it.

At $70, this stone bath mat is pricey, but it does work as advertised. The surface is dry less than 10 minutes after stepping out of the shower. It arrived packaged securely to keep the stone from breaking. Because this has a large logo imprinted on one side, you'll know that that side needs to face down. This also comes with a nonslip mat to place underneath and a small piece of sand paper for refreshing the stone if needed.

Cool to the touch

Nice mat, but it's very cool to the touch.Hard material seem brittle so you need to take care while using it.Before you use it the manufacturer suggests cleaning the "dust" off it. A white wash cloth was gray after this light cleaning making me wonder if the mat will dirty your feet after a shower. So far, no.Also, this mat comes with an anti-slip mesh pad to place under the mat so it won't slip. There are no instructions so you have to read the box.
